Details: This is an interesting and wide ranging role with an established Cumbria law costs outfit, who are looking for a very experienced law costs draftsperson, ideally a qualified costs lawyer, to help in the further expansion of their business.
They currently deal with a fairly wide range of work from their Cumbria office and are so busy that they have not had to do any business development for over a year. Clearly there is plenty of business still out there which they haven't even had time to investigate.
The intention is to open a second office, either in the South Lakes or in Lancashire, to develop a commercial arm to the business and to further develop the business that they have.
They anticipate that the new recruit will head up the new office and develop the commercial work, with lots of support from head office.
The ideal candidate will also be comfortable with presenting seminars to clients and providing training to more junior members of the costs team.
They may consider a director level post for an outstanding candidate, but this is more likely to be a director-designate role, with the directorship coming in a couple of years.
